Ok enough of the past This guy seems legit. Car is running even more smoothly than before, but that could just be my imagination. I know the battery was disconnected over 30min so I get the pleasure of training my car from the way the prev. owner drove it.

He actually went ahead and replaced all the seals. Two pieces had pretty much disintegrated I think he said. Showed me the seal that was leaking and where it was leaking from. I was happy to see I did not have to ask many questions. He already went into enough detail for my satisfaction. He also confirmed what the dealer already said. That some one had done the job before but ghetto style. That the person prob. did the re-seal without taking off the trans. cause there is a way to slip the seal in if you try hard enough lol. Also the silicone used was not the type used by toyota. He had not seen that before.

He also did an alignment for me since he was renting the lift and knew I had after market springs. Washed the car

So I am going to drive it for a week or two and will be able to tell if the leak has been fixed or at least put to rest for a while. The last guys did it and in two weeks I knew it was leaking again.

After that Adam you got a new mechanic I should be back with this guy anyway since he found a leaking radiator that needs replacing.
That is awesome can you send me a pm with his info

Dam really!? Well maybe I can fight for this at at 99K I think it's done. Prev. owner seemed pretty cheap *** and lazy. I found cheap brakes, 99c oil filter. A botched trans leak fix. God knows what else I will find.

It was for 2004 through late 2005 RX330 and the extension is offered for a period of 7 years or 90,000 miles from the vehicle's in-service date

How did you know you had a leak? Was your car leaking on driveway or when you took it in for service they told you had one?

No earlier in this thread I mentioned I had taken it to a Lexus dealer and got a 40 point check. They found the leak. Then the sellers shop "fixed" it. They my personal friend/michanic saw it again while doing an Oil change to full synthetic..

The RX has ALLOT of dampening to lower engine noise. This included a large plastic piece under the engine that hides slow leaks lol! I did not see any of it

the only bad thing that could happen is they say no, which they might say but go for it if they say yes then you saved enough to help pay for all the other things that you fix

True.... I might have to argue even for them not to charge me to check as well. I hate dealerships.

Really?? $120 to check the "in plain site" obvious leak? oh man you're bringing up a whole other argument lol! I wont even go there. I really don't want to take away from the threads topic.

I appreciate the heads up on the Radiator. I really do.
