Hello Mandy,
Congrats on your posting. You have been fairly busy also with over 1200 post per year/100 per month. How do you do it with your full time job? Don't get me wrong I really enjoy reading all the posts. This is one super forum. Some service writers are not too fond but that is their problem. A lot of good information is shared. Thanks to all.

That said I upgraded to Amsoil in a RX 300 AWD (which already has a tranny cooler) and in a modified GS 430 (where I added a tranny cooler) and both vehicles have over 180k miles on them and the transmission has held up (crosses fingers)
On the 450h I haven't touched the fluid and it has a CVT and it has been terrific.
Out of curiousity, I wonder what fluid the LFA uses (need to find out). I am sure the IS F uses the same fluid as the RX and that is a car tested at the track and expected to be driven hard.
Let me find out.

did you notice that the amsoil fluid seem`s to be a little thicker? i have wolf`s head in my trans right now.but i may go back to the toyota fluid,or the castrol multi-import fluid.

The other thing too is make sure ALL the old fluid is drained, so this requires buying more fluid than the reservoir holds so all the old fluid is replaced. Of course that is if you replace/flush/drain.
What are your thoughts on wolf's head, haven't heard of it.

well the wolf`s head is sold by amalie out of florida. it`s a fits-em-all full synthetic fluid, that performs very well. but it does firm up the shifts some, especially when cold. i like it that way, some may prefer the slippery shift feel.

This is one forum that I truly enjoy being a part of. And I am a member of a quite a few. And I must say, not all forums are created equal. The CL is unique. This forum is composed of the real DIY'ers and the ones who sometimes have no clue.
All good though. I like it very much. This forum is my recluse.
