i am assuming you live in BC canada, thus you have a canadian lexus, thus your 14.7, is liters per 100 km, which is about average for city driving

I bought my 04 AWD RX330 new in the fall of 2003. I've tracked my mileage ever since. I average around 22 in combined city/rural driving and reach 26+ on the freeway. In the graphic below you can easily see the road trips I take as the MPG peaks.

So your 04 is quite a bit below what I am getting. I burn Shell premium now exclusively. If you look at that chart you will see some trips where I used regular 87 octane gas and I would get only around 24 MPG. I get 2+ more MPG burning Shell premium gas on the freeway. These road trips are over the same routes and consist of about 1,500 miles each leg, BTW. Also notice that my city MPG rose dramatically when I installed the new Bridgestone Alenzas and had the transmission TSB applied. I should add that I have never noticed any difference in fuel economy in city driving whether using premium or regular gas. I can feel the difference though. The car is much peppier with premium. It requires less downshifting to manage grades and it accelerates faster with premium. Unscientific, but I feel it.

You might check with Lexus to see if the transmission TSB has been applied.

no i did the conversion to MPG. from my last fillup:

driven: 368km (229 miles)
fuel used: 57.6liters (15.2 gallons)

229/15.2 = 15.1mpg (ok i rounded up) sounds about right for u guys? I cleaned my maf today and also air filter. Gonna swap in a K&N high flow drop in to see how that does.

I was also reading adding small amounts of 100% acetone to ur fuel increases mileage?? anyone knw about this? any side effects aka damage engine, rails, injectors, gaskets? Most ppl experimented saying acetone had no effect since it's simliar to gas.
