i am totally stumped
I bought a cd of the 2007 repair manual. it seems ok, but I can't find any procedures to replace light bulbs. are these procedures not in the repair manual? if not, where are they described? boy, what a drag it is to try to get information on the simple task of changing light bulbs, specifically the rear side marker bulb, and the rear tail light bulb. any advice would be appreciated.

The instructions are also in the owners manual as well.......Use quality bulbs as well......Check that the lights work before you button it up.

where in the owner's manual? I looked everywhere in the index and didn't find that section. that's why I bought the CD. please advise. i'm desperate enough to try the Haynes manual next.

You can find the service manual on CD on eBay. Several vendors provide them at a cost of about $15. I bought mine several years ago and it's been a lifesaver in many situations. The only problem with the service manuals is that they are poorly organized and not easy to follow, but they do have all the information you'll likely need.

Thanks for sharing. But you don't need to remove all that to replace the side marker. I backed into something and cracked mine, bought another and was able to reach up under the back of the car and remove it. Had to reach up inside, blind, feel for and find the one bolt that holds the marker in place and remove it; without seeing it. There is also a small wire harness that you have to reach up and remove. Was able to do mine in about 15 minutes with no parts removed. I saw the instructions first to loosen the bumper and all that, but it's not necesssary.

thanks to all. I finally bought the cd and found it excellent, except that my suv has a factory installed retractable luggage cover, which means the factory moved the tail light assemble access panel down 4 inches because of interference from the side rails, and even with fingers like ET, it's physically impossible to reach in there [and up the 7 inches] to attack the problem. I ended up removing almost everything in the cargo area along with the right side trim pieces, which allowed me to pull the side panel far enough away to reach in from the rear and change the bulb. not the worst job in the world, but, like always, the first time you are waiting for the plastic trim to crack. thanks to all.
