Default Tires Pressure Light on

My '07 Rx400h tires pressure light was on. I put some air in today at 32 psi, (manual recommended 30 psi), but the light was still on. Do any of you know how to reset the light? Just called Lexus dealer, and they told it has to be at 35 psi, which I think it's a bit ridiculous, too high for winter?

I keep mine at 32. 35 is a tad high.

I believe it resets itself. Did you remember to fill up the spare?

Yes the spare for 2005 and up!

For us 2004's there is no spare sensor. A different sensing system is in place.

TPMS has to be reset. Button is under the steering wheel. Manual has the instructions.

I know, 35 psi is a bit high especially winter in MN, but I called two dealerships and they told me the same thing. Must be something new...

They mentioned me about the spare too, so I have to check that out. I have reset the monitor before, and it worked. But I forgot and the manual is not with me. Anybody know how to do it on top of their head?

Over the weekend the TPMS light came in my 2007 RX 400H came on and I had to change a flat tire. I replaced the flat on with the factory spare. Next I had the flat repaired and re-inflated (its now underneath the vehicle as the spare). Now the TPMS stays on even after I reset it repeatedly.

I checked and even added a little bit of air to all 5 tires.

Any ideas?

Your TPMS could be damage...I had the same problem on my SC with TMPS damage, Lexus replaces for $160 per.

How did you do to reset the TMPS?

In the manual it says to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. The button is down below the steering column.

No, its way down there. Not the odo reset button. The vehicle should be off, then put the key in the On position but do not start the vehicle.

Ok thanks! I'll give it a try. Good luck with your TMPS.

its basically where your knees are at when you sit down. There are actually 3 buttons down there, 1 of which is the TPMS

I never figured out how to get the light to turn off, but it randomly shut off one day in the spring. Last week it came back on. Checked all the tires and they are fine. Anyone have any new information on this?

Check the spare. When the weather changes the spare tire pressure goes down too.
