Default HID Fog Light Upgrade

Hi,

Just upgraded my fog light to a pair of 3000K HIDs. I was going to match the stock HIDs, but I thought I should try something different this time. Here are the pix.

Cool, I've always wondered how the RX will look with HID fogs because of the small housing and also because it looks like the housing is placed in such a manner that they shine more to the side vs directly in front of the vehicle.

Can you post up some beam pattern shots?

Very nice. If you don't mind me asking, how did you access the foglights? Did you have to take off your front bumper to get to them or is there another way?

It's Bosch HID kit. It takes about 30 min to take off the bumper (could be faster), make sure it's H11, not 9006, and just use 3M tape to stick the ballast on the side of the bumper.

Yes I will, but can you please teach me how to take them?
Is it like taking the pix from the side?

Yes I took the front bumper off, just because it's not hard and easy to do the installations. There are 2 bolts on each fender, one is inside the cover, then there is a center piece that you need to take it off. That's all you need to do to take off the bumper.

You could access it by just opening up the fender, and stick the ballast on the side of the inner bumper.

This kit doesn't need to wire to the battery, so I think it could be easier for someone who doesn't want to take off the bumper.
