1/2" Drive Torque bar 80 ft-lbs where?
I have been looking for an 1/2 “ Drive 80 ft-lbs torque extension bar (or stick). I can not find them easy, Ebay has 1 listing and it is steep if you include the shipping. They always come in sets, I only need the 80 ft-lbs because Honda and Toyota are identical in specs.
This will ensure the torque on the wheel lugs are always right. I am planning on getting an electric impact driver to help me with the wheel lugs. I am getting old, I need power tools!
I have been searching at Harbor Freight, they too have a set, no individual torque bars.
Anybody has a tip?

Not sure what the OP means by steep. However, found these to include Sears with a quick search:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...=1/2%22+torque
http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Torque-Wren.../dp/B000KL4H80
http://www.emaxaction.com/cdi1503mfrmh.aspx
I realize that they are not 80 lb. only, but all can be set to that value.

Should have just given the generic search at Sears:

^^Guys, I have a torque wrench. I need a torque bar, because I am getting an impact wrench to help me with my wheel lugs. Getting old, I need power tools.

Couldn't remember the different between a torque wrench and a torque bar. I have both, but I use those items quoted above to hand torque everything. I never use an impact wrench on my wheels, etc. The bar just keeps getting longer and longer to give me more leverage.
Will one of these do the job?

Talk softly but carry a big breaker bar.

^^Yes exactly what I need. I need 1/2" drive 80 ft-lbs torque stick. And then I will get me an impact socket set, 1/2", thin wall, I need 19 and 21 mm. 19 for Acura and 21 for Lexus and I am all set! Of course have to get the 1/2" electric impact driver, 7 amp, 240 ft-lbs! Soon rotating tires would be a breeze!

Well, got me my 1/2 inch electric impact driver, my 1/2 inch impact socket set. I have my torque wrench, so maybe I do not need a torque bar!
I am so ready for the next tire rotation!

I have a couple of them to use on our track car. One is 85 lbs and the other is 90 lbs.
The first I got from the Snap-on guy when I bought our impact gun. He just threw it in for free... he had a full set and was missing the 90 lb I needed so just gave me the 85lb.
The second I found at a site called http://www.torquestick.com/. Also got some wheel lug sockets with the plastic coating to help keep from scarring up rims from them. They're cheap, but work.
I need them because the Snap-on gun we've got is a beast and could drive the lug right through the wheel if we let it, lol.
NOTE - on my wife's track car we still go over the lugs with the torque wrench after using the impact gun and stick. It's not foolproof and often you still get a bit of tightening. But it takes out 95% of the work.

Thanks for the tip. I will use the impact driver to unbolt, the use it sparingly for the tightening. Then use the torque wrench for the kill!
Now I wish I could have gotten the 3/8" drive at 120 ft lbs. Mine is 240 ft lbs. Yikes, as you said you can drive that lug nut through!

This is the one I've got, sold a lesser Dewalt one that had problems breaking lug nuts loose.
This one doesn't, 620 ft lbs

Great investment though. Combination of Snap-on and Mac Tools. Some are 30-40+ years old.
