Default Lexus logo scuff plate removal

Has anyone tried to remove the Lexus logo scuff plate within the door frame? It's made of thin metal that bends easily when trying to pry upwards on the ends. I don't want to damage the piece by removing.

You have to remove the entire plastic scuff plate. The metal and plastic are molded together.

I removed the whole plastic piece and it appears that the metal piece is held on by two metal pressure tabs at either end, plus it appears that the back of the metal piece uses a sticky-tape side for better adhesion to the plastic piece. So if I wanted to replace our white Lexus nameplate with a blue Lexus nameplate then I would have to replace the whole plastic piece instead of just the metal piece?

I have seen some blue Lexus scuff plates that look real nice. Do you know if the Lexus nameplate has the color, or is the bulb blue or white? Can I change the bulb to a blue LED. Do you know if the bulb can be changed?

I believe it is a bulb. I have an 05 RX with Amber scuff plates and the same color illuminates the interior door handles. I would love to change it to a cool blue or white. I hate the amber.

It does? Mine has the lights up by the power roof controls (which shine down on the shifter etc.). And down at your feet,But I dont recall any by the door handles?

Agree. The amber colour doesnt match anything and looks a bit dated.
Sould be nice to change all the amber lights to white.

Anyone know if they are coloured filters, or leds?
