Some aftermarket guys offer chrome door handle for sever cars. Some are metal and some are abs and the install with 3M trim adhesive. Does anyone have any experience with these???

I don't personally care for the look but are both the metal and plastic just stick on or only the plastic? I can't imagine that the 3M adhesive will last too long once the car bakes in the hot sun. If they both stick on then I wouldn't call them door handles but appliques.

The stick on ones vary in quality. Some are better than others. But they are so easy to install. Much cheaper, too.

I ordered Toyota OEM handles from Japan (off ebay). The guy was great to deal with. Items arrived in 5 days.

Seller is zeroism702 . I think you can look him up on ebay.

Plastic chrome-plated door handle covers look good, but the 3M sticky foam for keeping them in place sure did not seem very reliable (especially in a car wash). So I applied a gob of Liquid Nails cement to each end, pressed it on, and pressed it down again a couple of times as the glue was drying. Now, a few days later, the covers seem solidly in place and look fine.
A local car painting shop wanted over $ 400 to paint them!
