There is an air duct inside the cavity to replace the fog light but I cannot determine how the piece is attached. Anyone out there replace their left fog light and what did you do to remove this duct piece? The right fog light area does not have this duct piece so you can just reach up and replace the light.

When I change my fog to HID i just drop the whole bottom cowl off for ease. There are several bolts that attach at the bottom and the side in the wheel well and once it's taken all out it should drop.

I just swapped the factory fog light bulbs with HID and found it much easier to remove the plastic bumper so I can determine the best place to mount the HID ballast. The duct you refer to on the driver side is a duct for the oil cooler for the RX350's that have the factory towing package. If you do not have the duct, either it was removed or do not have a factory oil cooler. You can see from the picture on the link, once the bumper is removed, you can remove the duct. Not recommended though.
