Auto Power Window question - '05 RX 330
Hello all,
This is my first time to visit and post on this forum, WOW, there is a lot of info here!!!
Back to business, I replaced the battery on my wife's '05 RX 330 and after the relpacement, I am having troubles with the power windows and sun roof working "automatically". You can push the switch all the way down where it should operate in auto mode and it will stop as soon as you remove pressure from the switch. In addition, you cannot control the windows from the driver side "multiplex", you must go to each door to operate the switch. Also, there is a light that continually blinks on each door's window switch as an error message.
Is there something that I need to reset? Surely there is a cheaper fix than going to the dealership.
Please help if you can.

I recall reading post that describes how to reset the pinch protection and it made reference to "owners manual". Start there or do a search. I vaguely remember that you have to 'hold" the switch for couple of cycles .. all the way up and down (open and close for the moon roof)
You may also call your service rep (dealership) who may guide you over the phone.

Thanks Salim, I have read that manual almost from cover to cover and have not seen anything with that info on it, however, I will read through it again.
Thanks for your help. I will try that.

Salim is correct, I spoke with a service tech at the dealership and he told me to do the following each time the battery in disconnected:
To re-initialize the windows, sun roof and the power rear door:
Windows: Push button down until window is 100% open and hold for 3 count, then do the same on the "up" position.
Sunroof: In the closed position, hold the switch in the open position and will open and close a full cycle then stop, you have then re-initialized the sun roof.
Power rear door: Manually open the door and keep open for 30 seconds, manually close it, then it will be ready for auto use again.
Hope this helps you guys in the future!!

I was just going to repeat what you said. There was an update in this month's Road and Track Magazine on the Lexus GS 450h having this problem when the battery was disconnected. Roll down the windows completely, holding the the button down for 6 sec after it reaches bottom, then roll it up completely, holding again for 6 sec upon reaching the top. Good to know about the rear door on the RX
