Maintenance Light won't go off!!!

I have a 2004 RX330 and I have had the oil changed, but not by the dealership a few weeks later the maintenance light as shown up, but the on board diagnostic with in the navigation screens shows nothing. What could this be? and how do i reset it? Thanks

ok, with the key in the ignition, hold down the ODO RESET button next to the steering wheel. THen while holding it, turn the key into the ACC position. there will be an animation on the screen where the mileage is stated. keep holding the button, wait for the animation to end, and then release. it should be reset after that.

All this info is in the manual as well:) Along with alot of other stuff you can customize on your own....

Hmmm, my '05 reset is different. With the ignition on, engine off, hold the odo reset for about 15 seconds(?) until the maintenance light goes out. No switching, no animation, no nothing. Once the light goes out, release the odo button.

The MAINT REQ'D light reset is the same across the board for most Toyota/Lexus/Scion models since 2004. It shouldn't be different from 2004 to 2005.
