Just because a car is built in Japan, it doesnt mean they dont built lemons. In my opinion, it just means that the percentage is lower of getting a lemon from Japan.

That is a big statement in a bad way. You cannot pass a general statement like that and lot of import models are being manufactured here in North America.

That statement make you sound like you are anti-American. Lets me ask you this, who was the first country to mass produce automoblies. American workers are the most skilled workers in the world, they may be lazy but they are not lacking in skill and knowledge Unfortunately, the American auto worker's high salary and benefit give them a disadvantage.

I guess that explains why you, and I, and everyone else on this board prefers foreign cars.

I prefer foreign cars because they are better built. They are better built because Lexus and Toyota have an advantage on worker's salary and benefit so they can spend that money on areas such as R&D and built material. To say that American cars are terrible because American worker are unskilled is totally ridicules. In fact, I think American workers are too skillful for their own good. Look at the things that were 1st invented and manufacture by the Americans, computer, TV, telephone, radio, etc. They are all now manufactured over sea because it is too expensive to manufacture them here. Given a level playing field, American can produce any product as good as any other country if not better.

i dont know whats more ignorant the fact that you assume american laborers are unskilled or the fact that you think i might be one of them? If thats the best comeback you can think of, you should try harder, or will that cause too much strain? While i myself dont like american cars all that much myself, i would not say that american auto workers are unskilled. Many so called "japanese" cars are built here in the US same with many "european" cars, so whats the problem? traditional american cars companies are even making better cars nowadays. Its one thing to dislike something because its your preference. Making stupid generalizations based on ignorance, makes you look like a jackass.

I just cant get over some people, they make their money here in America and yet they continue to bash the American work force, how sad.

I am going to close this thread. Unfortunately, it has gotten off track too much from the original title.
