Hey ,do you think that oem 18 rims will fit this 255 tyre, the rim with 7 inches width without causing thinning to the tyre sides from extra friction,.thanks

Default 255/15/18 Alenzas - 2 questions

I really want to switch to the 255/55/18 Alenzas. The pix look great.

2 quick questions:

Will moving to this size:

1. affect the nav readings/calculations
2. affect the tire pressure monitor

Thanks

A lot of people have switched over to the 255-55-18's. No rubbing, no issues. In terms of % difference, it shows more on speed (shows you are faster by 2~3 miles) and less on mileage (means it shows less miles traveled). Anybody chime in if I am not accurate.

The other thing, too is that there are a lot more options on 255-55's and lot less price than the OEM 235-55.

The Bridgestone Alenza's are getting good reviews. If you get them under $700, you're good.

I recent saw the Falken 255-55-18's are on sale at Sear's for $150 each, mounted and with road hazard. I wonder if these are any good. Is Falken Korean made?

The Falken ST/Z series (1 and 4) are great tires. I'd still recommend Toyo Proxes S/T's for anyone looking for an aggressively styled tire that still offers durability and wet traction.
