Default New Lexus, Now Lexus Owner

Just picked up my 2007 Lexus RX350
Flint Mica w/ Black Leather
Has the Premium Package with 18 inch Rims; Non Navi

Drove the car home from the dealer today, didn't get a chance to drive around very much

First Impressions:
Very quiet, on the inside
Brake Pedal is very sensitive
The Shifter is very stiff (Curious why is the shifter all wood?)
Spacious Trunk Space
Love the 18 Alloys
Pretty good power around town
Easy to park

Here are some pics: Sorry I'm not a good photographer

nice work. would love to see some interior pics. I'm very close to picking up an '07 and i am debating between black and flint mica. I don't care for the grey interior in the flint mica so black would be a must. Keep us posted on how you like it. thanks

Default color

i think flint mica looks so good on the rx's, i did go for silver metallic to hide more soil, but every time i see a flint mica i second guess my decision. also i agree i would go with the black interior next time.

Congrats! We had a hard time choosing between the Savannah Metallic and the Flint Mica - our main deciding factor was dirt. This is my wife's car and the only time it goes to the car wash is when I get the chance so we needed a color that meets the following criteria (my motto when color shopping):

It never really looks dirty but you can really tell when it's clean!

Plus, they didn't have any Flint Mica on the lot when we got her new car so it was an easier choice

Wow, black interior in Texas! Please report back how that does in all of that sun and hot weather! Good luck with your choice.

Yeah the heat is pretty brutal but if their is any AC system out there that can handle it it would be lexus. My dad has had a handful of lexuses, mainly LS's with black interior and it hasn't been that bad. My brothers BMW, well thats another question. I know i should go with tan interior with the black exterior but black on black looks very nice. I'll keep you posted as to if there is anything left of me after the summer.

One other quick note about the tan interior (and why I wanted to change to black or grey) is that it shows everything. If you wear dark clothes (like dark jeans or black pants) the dye comes off onto the seats and they need to be cleaned pretty regularly.

To be honest, we wear pretty decent clothes (not cheapo stuff where you would expect to be bleeding dye everywhere) but the dye in the jeans really seems to love to come off on those seats!

Anyway, just another argument for the black.

Good luck in TX!

Jay

Update:

The more I drive it, the more I like it. Getting use to the higher up position in an SUV and also getting use to the very sensitive pedals.

I also have a cargo net, that I removed from my previous car, I was wondering how to I install hang the cargo net in the trunk?

Today I when I was coming home, a truck drove by on the left and he kicked up a rock and left a rock chip on the driver side . Whats the best way to fix the rock chip?

Cargo net needs two holes drilled near removable panels in back and special hooks installed, ask the parts dept. for hooks. Lower flip up eyes should be already in the car.
