Some of those 'imitation; Lexuses have some pretty cool features like that blind spot mirror and I also remember reading about a tiptronic gear shifting configuration in the Harriers (that I could really use on the drag strip).

The tiptronic on Mercedes is like a tenth of a second slower than letting it shift by itself. And in racing, a tenth is a lot.

its not really a blind spot mirror for me, its frequently use to view the road dividers when parking

Yeah...we don't have it over here, but I have seen a lot of people in Asia just put a cover over it. I wouldn't want it since it is an air dam under racing conditions...same reason I fold in both of my mirrors.
