Hello,
"...Oil Replacement Reminder (Only for U.S.A. Model RX400h)
- An oil replacement reminder will display the warning message to remind the driver to change the engine oil depending on the vehicle driving distance.
- The different warning message of the oil replacement reminder is displayed based on the accumulated vehicle driving distance memorized in the combination meter (meter ECU).
- The meter ECU calculates the vehicle driving distance based on the signals from the skid control ECU.
- When the accumulated vehicle driving distance memorized in the meter ECU exceeds 4,500 miles (7,200 km) after being reset, the meter ECU reminds the driver that the time to change the engine oil is approaching by issuing the following warnings for 15 seconds after the ignition switch has been turned ON.
* Display the warning message “MAIN REQD SOON”
* Illuminate the master warning light.
* Sound the buzzer once.
- When the accumulated vehicle driving distance memorized in the meter ECU exceeds 5,000 miles (8,000 km) after being reset, the meter ECU reminds the driver to change the engine oil by issuing the following warnings while the ignition switch is turned ON.
* Display the warning message “MAIN REQD”.
* Illuminate the master warning light.
* Sound the buzzer once...
The accumulated vehicle distance memorized in the meter ECU can be reset by the following procedures.
1) Turn the ignition ON and make sure that the odometer is displayed.
2) Turn the ignition switch OFF. While pressing and holding the ODO/TRIP switch button, turn the ignition switch ON to reach the reset mode. The multi-information display will show “MAINT REQD RESET MODE” and an indicator, and start the reset operation.
3) The indicator, whose display changes every second, counts up to 5 seconds.
4) When 5 seconds have elapsed after the reset operation has been started, the multi-information display shows “COMPLETE” for 1 second, the master warning light illuminates, and the buzzer sounds once to indicate that the reset operation has been completed.
5) Release the ODO/TRIP switch..."
