Your 330's PSI?
 

Just wondering what others have their tire PSI's set at. My 330 has the 17" :boring: rims, and it's set @ 35. Just after I got the 330, I just wanted to check the pressure from the factory, it was set @ 45!?! I was driving on it for about a week. I called the dealer and asked why it was set so high, said it was so the tires don't get a flat spot during shipping, and they forgot to lower the pressure.

Should I set the PSI down to 30 maybe? It's just that I've never had a vehicle with such a low amount of pressure; compared to my old IS and Prelude SH, which I know are totally different breeds compared to my RX. Even at 35 PSI, the tires still look under inflated, but rides smooth.

I thought the rims were 18inch?

Actually 17's are the "standard" wheel size, but I know that in this area at least all RX330s' wheels are upgraded to 18 inch.

As for tire pressure, I try to keep mine at 35 psi also. As opposed to 30, perhaps the ride is a tad worse, but it seems fine to me, and I'm willing to trade maybe a slightly firmer ride in favor of slightly better steering response and fuel economy. No way I'd go above 40, however - as I recall the 18 inch Michelin tires are not even rated for that high of pressure.

I have 18 s and keep them at 35 psi. Seems a good combination.

Us lucky folks in Hawaii were not offered the 18' thru the factory ($200 option) because someone @ Servco Pacific (who owns the 2 HI dealerships), who's in charge of negotiating car allotments, thought the 18's wouldn't sell. That's like saying ivory leather wouldn't sell. :slap: We also were not offered the performance & multi-moonroof packages.

So when you come to Hawaii and don't see 18's, it's not that we didn't want 'em! ;)

I think my next Lexus will be coming from a West coast dealership...

Keep an eye on the center tire tread for those that keep the PSI high. By 8K miles you will probably notice that the center tread will be wearing out faster than the outer treads.

This translates into better dry traction, and worse wet traction.
