CANBUS/Rear Light Out Warning
Hi everyone,
I'm replacing the LED array in my driver's side brake light and figured I'd spruce up the rest of the lighting back there while I'm at it.
The RX330/350 of course has a light on the dash that lets you know when a bulb is out back there. I want to replace the incandescent bulbs (parking lights in the brake and taillight assemblies + the ones on the bumper, reverse lights, and license plate lights) with LEDs. Those of you who are familiar with LED upgrades know that CANBUS LEDs (like this one) will work on vehicles that display a warning when the bulb is out by fooling the CANBUS system, as the system looks for decreased power draw from the bulbs and LEDs naturally draw less power. Has anyone replaced the rear parking lights with CANBUS LEDs before? Did it work without the warning light coming on? Or, anyone who is smart and can actually understand how the CANBUS system and CANBUS LEDs work - do you think this would work without a problem?
Thanks in advance.
