does anyone know what this pipe is? why it's rusty? what i can do about it, because it looks horrendous to replace [looks like the alternator has to be removed].
ternator has to be removed].
Thats a oil feed line that goes to the vct solenoid for the bank 2 exhaust.....
>>>And since your there, great time to replace the bank one oil line as well, since its rubber hose spiced, you'll need to get the '12+ all steel line.....You'll have to remove the p/s pump to get to the banjo bolt behind the pump.
wow. this sounds difficult and expensive because it looks like the alternator has to be removed to get at this. any possibility of a "cheap and easy" fix, like cutting out the rusty section and putting a hose in there? or de-rusting the area and using "jb weld??" any other ideas??

Why not do the job once & be done......Do it right the first time
