Worth repairing or get rid
I have a 2007 rx400h with 127500 miles on it. Drives well however been advised that I need to change front 2 lower suspension arms and both front shock absorbers. Local and independent lexus specialist garages say they can't do it. Lexus have quoted me £2000 to do the above then also wheel alignment. Is it worth spending that much on repairing it or get rid of it?

Welcome to the Forum !!
127,500 miles is still low mileage for it's age.
The cost of repair is still lower than the value of car, so I think it's worth it to have on the road for many more miles.
You didn't mention how long you've had it or if it's paid for.
It's really up to you if it's worth repairing and keeping as you can still recoup the cost of repair and then some if you choose to sell it.
Or you could spend the £2k on a down payment for a newer car.
Lots of choices... good luck with what you decide.

Apologies I've had the car 2weeks my old rx300 died on me and needed a car asap but not a lot to spend when it happened so got this car but didn't know about this issue until I put new tyres on the car 2 days ago.
Ahhh, that's unfortunate.
Lesson learned -- ALWAYS get a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) we call it that in the States -- don't know what it's called in the UK or wherever you are. The PPI would let you know if anything is wrong with the vehicle and what needs to be taken care of or if the car is sound with no issues, BEFORE you decide to purchase.
If you decide to get it fixed, not sure you're total costs will be by then, but it should last you for years to come. Make sure you change the oil and ALL fluids or have them checked as soon as you can.
I don't know much about hybrids though as I had a regular 2005 RX330.
If the £2000 is ALL it needs to last a while and you've already invested in the tires, I would probably hang onto it, but of course, that's completely up to you...
Ok, please be careful.
If the repair shop asked you how long you've owned the car, this is a huge red flag.
If they asked you that, they are sizing you up for a repair bill you may not need.
It's much easier to dupe a new car buyer and that's why they ask.
Moving on, if you are talking about the lower control arms, cracked bushings seem to be normal.
I freaked out when I saw my cracked bushings and replaced my control arms for no reason, and the new ones cracked two years later anyway. Lol
Torn bushings are another story and if they are torn, they should be able to put the car on the alignment rack and show you the wheel play due to the torn bushing -or- show you they are torn(not cracked) 😃
PS- after I replaced my control arms I looked closely and could see the cracks were only surface cracks, all that work for nothing. Lol It appears to be the nature of the style of rubber they used to surface crack but only a guess.

I'd say, get it fixed at Lexus, they should get you going and make the car last for as long as you need it to...
Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe
They make aftermarket parts for this repair that are much cheaper than Lexus oem parts.
Cheapest is DIY of course but not everyone has the tools, space, or climate to do it in. 🫸🫷
Ps- the Lexus dealer is trusted most by many people and they generally do a good job from what I hear. They don't always use oem parts so please make sure you know what you're paying for. How do I know? Because I've seen their techs in uniform many times picking up parts at my local auto part store. Lol

Ask yourself: Can I replace this car for 2 grand? If the answer is No, then repair. And that quote is from a Lexus dealer? Yeah, I'd do it. They'll use OEM parts and do it proper.
YIKES !! Too bad you couldn’t catch your MIL beforehand.
I bought my filters (cabin and engine), wiper blades (come with inserts) and extra inserts on sale from Bell Lexus.
Your MIL could’ve just left the OC with the dealership and you could’ve switched all the others out for her — easy peasy.
Some people just vacuum the cabin filter, but I prefer to just go new with new charcoal.
