I have this same issues - STRUGGLING on "HOW" to remove the glove box and get to it - any advice?!

 

I purchased a replacement blower motor for my RX330 from 2 different vendors. Both said this was the replacement for my 2006 RX330. Each one the male receptacle on the fan for the harness plug was smaller and shaped different from my original fan that was running intermittently and making noise when it would function. I could get it to run by tapping on it under the dash until finally it stopped working. I took it out, cleaned it up, plugged it in and it seemed to run fine. After re-installing it did the same, intermittent, noisy, finally not responding to my taps although it sounded like it might be running very slowly. My oiriginal blower is part number 194000- 7173 12G. I kept ordering 7173 ("this fits your vehicle") but the harness plug is wrong for the replacements. Looking at pictures of blowers online, it looks like matches for my harness are either ES models or maybe from RX300's. One of my ordered fans was not returnable which is unacceptable so I don't want to get stuck with another that doesn't fit. Is it the "12G" in my part number that's important? Thanks for any help.
