So I recently purchased a 2004 RX 330 from an impound lot. It did not come with keys, so I took the paperwork to a local Lexus dealership and they cut me 2 transponder keys using the lock code generated from the VIN number. I then used my laptop loaded with Techstream to add one of the keys I had cut to work in the ignition to start the car. Today I tried to program the 2nd key because its always good to have a spare key and Techstream would detect the car, but any time i tried to read data from any of the menu items, an error would appear saying "That system is unavailable."
I have had issues in the past where I was using a version of Techstream that would not work, but if I downgraded or upgraded to a different version, it would work. But the software literally worked perfectly yesterday. I tried using Revo Uninstaller to completely remove techstream, then I re-installed several different versions and they all had the same error. Has anybody ran into this issue before. Anu help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
Link keys manually. Search on Forum.
PS: Previously linked keys (previous owners) should be removed/erased because of a limited number of "key slots" in car memory. |
