Please look up "imobilizer".
I suspect the key you are using to start does not have the chip which is registered by the ecu as authorized to run. Try another key. CALLPASS is a gps tracking device [after market]. Call them directly and see if the part you have can disable start [anti theft device]. Since this is an aftermarket part, expect minimal help from this forum. Salim |
It will crank but wont start, if it's the wrong key won't it not do anything?

The immobilizer just kills the spark and does not prevent starter from spinning. There is abundance of information you will discover using the search on "immobilizer". You can check if you are getting a spark by placing a convenient spark plug on the block. There can other reasons for no spark, but eliminate the immobilizer by using a registered key. The plastic shell of the key electronics has the magnetic slug. There are other counter examples too .. such as the same key was used to start the vehicle and the RX did fire up. If you are new to RX, please take a look at the sticky threads. Salim |
Maybe you would like to say hi and introduce yourself and tell us about your car and let us know what led to your dilemma before asking for this kind of help.
Just an idea... :) -> Add- replacing the fuel pump and coils as posred above tells me no spark and fuel delivery was suspected and this sounds a lot like an imobilizer issue for security. |
There's no trick to figuring out if the immobilizer is engaged. Right by your left knee there is a blinking red light labeled "Security".
If the light doesn't stop blinking when you put the key in the ignition cylinder the immobilizer is still engaged. |
Crank no start
No fuel No spark Not sure if using the right key Found unknown GPS gadget on the dash Not much info to go on, hopefully OP will let us know what's going on... |
