navigation error message
hello everyone, i just bought a 2003 lexus rx300. the error message on my gps screen says "a disc is inserted".
i checked my cd changer and did not see any disk. plaease help me out. thank you

The nav disc is different from the Audio disc [the audio disc goes into the changer]. Nav system is in the hatch area.
Typically after a while [age] the disc reading laser misaligns and is unable to read the disc.
As an owner you may like that all things should be functioning, but IMHO the system and the data you may have, is obsolete. I would not spend a dime in fixing it as the smart phone is going to be way better in navigation assistance.
