RX300 Transmission Cooler?
Hello
Which RX300s came with transmission coolers? All of them? Just the AWD? Just the ones with the towing package? other? |
I had my trans rebuilt and I had my transmission shop put a Hayden thin transmission cooler.
I also now use Max Life synthetic transmission fluid for longer transmission life. I do a drop and fill every 20,000 miles doing it twice to get an 8 quart change yearly |

Mine is a 1999 AWD
The reason being is from what I am learning is that Lexus installed transmission coolers on the vehicles that came from the factory with the towing package. |

sorry, I asked the wrong question, I meant to ask if you have the towing hitch and if so if you know if it came on the vehicle new.
The reason being is from what I am learning is that Lexus installed transmission coolers on the vehicles that came from the factory with the towing package. Many years later I installed a Reese hitch and an aftermarket power-isolated light module. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ml#post9608916 I found this post showing a spec for a 2003 RX300 FWD with the cooler installed as an option. It says it was standard in the AWD. Two posts later Hypervish says it was standard in 2001. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ml#post8551453 The thread where I posted my light module also has a lot of information |
Sorry for jumping in the middle of conversation here, but I am a bit lost ...
Is the enquiry about gathering info regarding model/yr/option to do research into a possible purchase or what ever then the conversation make sense. Now on the other hand if the enquiry is .. does my vehicle have a cooler .. the answer is very simple .. just peek from the front air slot .. where the windshield washer reservoir is and if you see fins from an air cooler, you have one. Lexmex posted actual picture of this. Salim |
