In terms of speediness, how would you say that the RX300 compares to modern cars? Do you think it still keeps up relatively well for its age?

It's a pig compared to most vehicles. But it's good in the snow and still looks modern enough.

Mine is definitely not a pig. It will haulass when needed, and has shut down many who were trying to get ahead of me. The 3.0 is a great engine.

It does what a v6 should. It has enough power to pass someone up a hill. But it's certainly not fast. Its good enough to be a good daily still and keep up with traffic fine. Mine doesn't feel like its being overworked cruising around 80mph down here in southern cali. Great vehicle still for its age.

If I floor it, it responds pretty well for a 5000 pound truck, and it can also tow a motorcycle trailer when I need it to.
But I rarely floor it because I don't want to abuse the drive train.

It's never going to outrun anything with the same size V6, but my wife loves it for the ride, smoothness and the heated seats, remote hatch, built in navigation (I prefer to use Garmin or Waze) but most of all she feels safe driving it. Since it is now her car she wouldn't change anything.

It all depends upon what you are comparing against.

Then there are +/-.

In any case, it is not a speed demon by far.

It was a slow pig when I lived in high altitude in Mexico City, since I worked on the vehicle down there and back in the states, no longer a slow pig...this pig has wings.
