Best RX300 Trunk Lid Lift Supports?
My Trunk Lid Lift Supports for my RX 300 are extremely weak and do not work in cold weather. What are the best supports I can buy? Preferably from Amazon.
Thanks!

I got the Monroes from RockAuto in December of 2016...they still work great. There was such a difference that I ordered a pair for the hood a month later. Excellent products.

I got the ones from rock auto as well. The ones from the dealership are like $600 for a pair, ridiculous. Anyway if you get the ones from rockauto.com, only swap one side at a time. The rear hatch is actually heavy. Also, don't remove the little plastic clips that come on them. You will probably have to push up really hard on the hatch to get them to fit when installing.
They work really good. I forgot that when I open the hatch, the hatch is supposed to push up by itself. My old factory lifters were so leaky that it didn't do that anymore.

Jwigly is right. I was shocked when the hatch actually lifted on its own again! I used a 2x4 to prop up the hatch to swap these since I didn't have a helper. I agree about swapping one at a time, also. The pressure in the struts makes you forget how very heavy that hatch is!!

Not sure these qualify as 'best', but may be best value for money.
Installed them yesterday and so far, so good.
