2003 HVAC issues
My 2003 FWD RX300 has a couple of HVAC issues that I'd like to find a fix for, but I'm not sure how to proceed:
Mode control usually does nothing, but sometimes it does. There's a "buzzing" noise that comes from the center stack when I try to change modes, but it's intermittent.
A/C works well, very cold, but the heat output isn't very hot. Coolant temp is usually at or just below the center of the gauge, and the fluid is clean and clear, so I don't suspect a stuck thermostat or blockage in the in the hoses. No leaks.
Any thoughts or advice? There's only 109K on the clock and other than high fuel consumption (about 20mpg mixed highway and urban) it runs and drives really well, so I'm planning to keep it for a while.
