Default What transmissions interchange for rx300 AWD ?

I have a 2000 rx300 that the trans is probably junk. It won't move forward or backwards and won't roll when in neutral. When dropping it in gear it makes clicking sounds. I am going to check the sensors as people have suggested.
But, main question is what vehicle transmissions interchange with it?
I bought a manual for the overhaul of the U140F and it has other vehicles that use this transmission listed.
1998-2003 Lexus RX300
2001-2003 and 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander 4 and 6 AWD
2000-2007 2.0 or 2.4 Toyota RAV4 4 AWD

curious if if anyone has tried any of these transmissions in the RX300 and if they had any issues

thanks in advance.

They are all Toyota products; therefore, the transmissions are interchangeable, provided you properly distinguish between FWD and AWD which are not interchangeable.

Default Bellhousing

i was thinking the only differences would possibly be the bell housing (which unbolted) and possibly rear (side) cover that does the same.
Thanks

Be aware on some models.
They might be the same U140F but some will have a different mounting point especially the rear case cover.
I remember a member here had an issue with one.
He had to swap the rear cover off his tranny to the replacement for it to work.

I recall the problem one member experienced as Nad1370 describes, and so further digging back into this forum would be wise, but I remain of the opinion that a U140E for example is the same whether in an RX or a Camry, etc.

I have the AWD so need the 140F. I don't mind swapping bellhousings and side covers as I can save several hundred and get a trans with 100k less miles. From looking at it the sensors may be the same as well but I can swap out mine if they aren't.

None as others will not fit. There is no easy option to change mounting location.
