High RPM’s?
So I’ve noticed driving around that my RX may be producing higher revs than it should, even though I am no expert 2500 @ 60 MPH sounds a bit high for me. Is this normal? (O/D is on)

Not really abnormal. Around 2000 was about right for ou r99(RX300.
I have two conclusions for you to consider:
1. is overdrive turned off?
2. does overdrive turn on when you reached cruising speed? I think you have 4 speed with overdrive transmission, so it should, from get go, rev and drop down several hundred RPM four times... shifting to 2>3>4>overdrive.

Yes it is normal. The RX300 only has 4 gears, so the RPMs are higher than cars with more gears. If your overdrive ever gets disabled due to a code, you will be in 3rd gear, and that is around 3400 RPMs at 60 mph.

Even with 4 gear, 4 being OD, 2500 is a bit high, I'd say. I recall it being around 2000. There's also a bunch of online posts about OD locked out for various related and unrelated reasons.
Can someone confirm what RPM they have at 60 on FWY? We sold ours years ago, memory is not the best...

Some times the obvious escapes ... just turn off O/D and speed up. Warch the rpm an turn the O/D on.

Yeah that's about right. Especially with only 4 gears. At 80mph I run at around 3200rpm and close to 3500 at 85. In 4th. I can update tomorrow with exact rpms at 60 as this is just on the top of my head
