Got the Denso 234-9009 but it's in opened/taped up box...wth?
I received the part yesterday and was planning on installing it today.
However, when I opened the package, the box is of Denso but it's taped up and can clearly see it was opened before.
I ordered new from amazon seller MikeB23 for $108.
I'm planning on returning it without opening it but the order is not eligible for a return. WTH?
Thoughts?
Was the part listed as new? What was the listed return policy? I would pursue help from Amazon if the seller is not honoring the terms of the sale, so at least the seller might get banned if they don't honor the return.
Whenever I recommend to order from Amazon, I mean Amazon, not some third party schmoe. If I order anything from a third party I make sure they have the same return policy as Amazon. If it is auto parts, that it is a Lexus/Toyota dealer or highly rated seller if not Amazon.

Yes, it was sold as New.
There's no specific return policy for this item on the product page but the seller has return policy.
It mentions they have a storefront in CA.
I contacted amazon.
The item inside could be new but I don't want to open it as the box clearly is open and taped up in all sides plus there's a bar code on the tape so it definitely has gone through few hands.

I also do my best to avoid 3rd part sellers. However, Amazon does give you 100% protection if a 3rd party seller defrauds you. Amazon is getting a little too big for their britches and customer service is going downhill...still so much better than fleabay.

I emailed the seller about the condition of package.
He replied that it's 100% brand new sealed sensor inside.
However, the reason I'm paying that price is to get genuine new sensor.
This pack was open and could have some aftermarket ones inside so I told him I don't want to open it and want to return.
Let's see.
I may just go to Advanceautoparts and price match amazon.
Until it gets hot I have ltft numbers below 7. after it is hot the ltft on bank 1 goes to 52 indicating a very lean condition. Sucky fuel mileage of 13 indicated. I have replaced the af sensors cleaned, then replaced the MAF sensor only when hot to get the same number. , tried propane and carb cleaner around vacuum hoses and the intake manifold with the cover off
I have problems with evap system as well. will hookup a vacuum gauge when hot to the car tomorrow. What kind of time is it to r&r the intake manifold, and am I missing any possible alternative avenues? Getting good values from the af sensors. Noticed that the cat is leaking.bollocks.
