Default Horn chirp when unlocking tailgate with key (randomly)

After a long road trip I locked up my 2000 rx with the key to also roll up the windows. After several hours I went to get my luggage and used the key to unlock the tailgate manually, I unexpectedly heard a horn chirp when I turned to unlock. Unsure if this was correct or if I was hearing things... I tried to replicate it, but couldn’t. My fiancé also stated they thought the same thing happened at he grocery store, but again couldn’t replicate it after it happens once. I haven’t owned this car long, maybe a month, and it’s been noticed 2-3 times, but not consistently, just curious if anyone else has noticed this?

When I lock all my doors and then come out and open my tailgate chirps and my lights flash.
But if I leave the doors unlocked it won't do anything.
Mine is a 2001 RX300

I’m not sure if mine being a 2000 would differ much from your 01, so it’s interesting yours flashes and chirps the horn with consistency. Mine has never flashed the lights when unlocking the tailgate manually with the key, nor do they flash when manually unlocking/locking the front doors with the key, let alone ever hearing a horn chirp on a regular basis. I generally use my remote, and always lock my car even in the garage, so it’s never, ever left unlocked. I’ve only experience feedback (beeps and lights) when using the remote, expect when an actuator went out, which was fixed, and back to normal now. Ive tried different scenarios to replicate the situation, such as locking driver side with the key manually, as well as with the remote then tried manually unlocking the tailgate without being able to replicate the short horn chirp again which happens as soon as I turn the tail lock to the unlock position, so I’m super confused. Although this isn’t a huge deal to me, I feel bothered, and a bit ocd about the inconsistency, or potential problems this may be hinting at. I’ve checked the owners manual, and see nothing about a horn chirp even being mentioned. I suppose I could have an issue with my locking mechanism, another actuator, or even the alarm system, if in fact this its supposed to be flashing lights, and/or chirping the horn. The locking system seems to works fine, and I recently tested the alarm which functions as it should, so I see no issues with the system, minus the random chirp from the lift gate...Thanks again for the reads and replies in advance, I’d love to figure this out 👍🏼

I always use my keys cuts down on the cost of the regulators in the doors they do go out, it is a little bit of work to put in new ones.
I just had a new beefed up transmission put in and put over size trans cooler and synthetic trans fluid by Max Life tranny should go at least 300,000 to 400,000 miles.
I do change out the trans fluid at 25,000 along with my power steering using Max Life both will last for years.
I am now trying the mobile one annual engine oil supposed to last 20,000 miles or I year have always used mobile one extended service no problems
Ran cars 1986 Toyota Cressida 529,000 1991 Lexus LS V8 motor 390,000 all synthetic oils nothing wore out in any cars other cars around 300,000 miles.
The Lexus RX 300 is capable of 500,000 + miles have seen it done a few times by people here in CA and many more across the country.
Take good care of your Lexus RX300 it will take care of you.

A bit of clarification/additional_info ....
The key still operates an electrical switch inside the door and the switch connections are then wired with the remote receiver. When you operate the key (or the remote) electrically the same things happen to the lock mechanism. Depending on your programming, only the driver door opens or all open is another tale.
