I have a 2003 RX300 that slips when pulling off in either first or reverse. The traction control light flashes briefly then everything works as it should.
There are no active codes
Changed trans fluid and filter
New brakes and rotors
Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Are you going full throttle so that Trac control is engaging to stop wheel slip?? Assuming not.
Sounds like your transmission is failing. My family used to have a 2005 Honda Civic (300,000 miles) and the last time i drove it the car had extremely heavy slipping like the car was half way into neutral, turns out the tranny was basically dead.
However, it is strange that the TC light is turning on aswell.

doesnt slip while driving at all only on take off in fwd and reverse for a second
Check the wheel can spin without drag from the brake [you just had the brake job done].
Simple scanners typically only check emission related stuff. Also depending on the model, all issues may not be reported through the OBD port. It was only in '96 the obdII become a standard in US market.
TRAC and VSC works in conjunction with the ABS system.
A slipping trans would not blip the trac light.
Even though trac light/vsc lights are off, might be a good idea to check anyways if there is a stored code.
If i remember you dont need a scan tool for this.
You're going to have to jump two pins on the DLC3 connector and count the blinks on the ABS light.
I think its TC and CG (search and it should help you perform this)
