Default Front Plastic Splash guard Pan Delete - ?

So the front splash pan is hanging/dragging because many of the mounting bolts snapped off. Im inclined to just leave it off because it gets in the way during oil filter changes. Was wondering if leaving the splash guard off will cause any overheating issues?

Thanks, Chet

i'd attempt to repair the mounting bolts or find a way to make the splash pan work . The pan will minimize water that can splash up and rust away your radiator support. Try drilling out and using an ez out on the snapped bolts and retapping if necessary.

If the plastic (shield) has enraged holes, you can cut 2"x2" size patches from plastic containers and dill a hole for the bolt. Use these patches as a oversized washer.

Keep it. It is designed to reduce under body air drag and reduce dirt from getting onto the engine.
Little secret. Quality zip ties do great instead of factory bolts. Ask me how I know.
