What is the black adhesive used for the plastic sheet inside the car door?

I just removed the plastic sheet from the car door so I could change the door actuator. Now the plastic sheet will not stick back on. What is the black adhesive thingy used to stick the sheet on the metal panel?

The closest I found to that material is 3M strip calk 08578. You can buy it a Amazon or O'Reilly's auto parts.

You may like to work in warm environment. Some of the elasticity is lost due to how cold it is.
Also remember to apply where there the black stuff was applied at the factory. There is a consideration of drainage and the membrane + the sticky stuff provides a moisture seal.
