Default 1999-2000 under seat plugs different than 2001-2003?

Hello, I am needing to replace my badly worn leather seats out of my 1999. Does anyone know if the airbag and motor plugs on the seats are all the same from 1999 to 2003? I spoke to a guy at a dismantler who has a fairly nice 2002 seat, but thought Lexus had changed the connecter shape for the airbag. Thanks

Hi! My '99 doesn't have airbags in the seats, so I would assume that you could use any seats through 2003 and simply not have the seat airbags connected. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

To my knowledge every RX300 has airbags in the seats. They are in the backrest portion on the side.

I removed the upholstery a few years ago to replace the seat heaters -- no airbags in there. I think, but I'm not sure, that airbag seats have a small tag (like the one on Levi's jeans)between the side bolster and the seating surface saying SRS, Airbag, or something.

Air bag in the seat is on the back support, next to the door.

99Rx did not have the curtain air bags(in the door). Please correct me if I am wrong.

Mine has that label. I'm guessing it refers to airbags in the doorframe, because there are none in the seats themselves, and no connectors to hook up to any. I just had the seat heater connectors underneath.
