I am working on replacing a damaged fender on the driver side of my 99 Rx300. I have taken the bolts out that are located in the engine compartment and the ones by the door. The fender will not come free. Do I have to take the trim off of the fender between the wheel well and the driver door?

I assume you do not have the service manual.

The next best thing you can do is look up the parts diagram [on line by Lexus dealership ... like Lexus of South Atlanta] .. you can even go to the parts counter and ask them to run you copy locally.

The parts picture will show you all the fasteners.

There was some discussion on taking the federal off and I vaguely remember that the wheel well liner had to be removed.
