2000 RX300, transmission removal
Hello All,
A long story as short as i can make it. I had my tranny replaced on my 2000 RX300 by a Lexus dealer. I'm up to finding three items that didn't go back together correctly, the worst so far was not torquing the 6 allen bolts on the drive side inner CV joint. Found them loose and a whole bunch of grease spun out.
What i'm searching for is the section of Lexus RX300 service manual for removing the transmission step by step (or bolt or bolt). I found a section on "automatic transaxle", this doesn't cover removing it (step by step).
Can someone point me in the right direction on find it? I don't mind using the Toyota's tech site, but before i spend the money i want to make sure it will have what I'm looking for.
Thanks
Jim

Jim;
Best thing you can do is get the worship manual or pay for TIS service [daily/weekly/monthly/annually]
Since you paid the dealer for the service, why not take the vehicle back to them and get a loaner till they fix the things.

Salim,
Thanks for the reply. You bring up an excellent question, I will give the full details when I get to a computer, but I can't trust this service center and the tech(s) that did the work.
Just trying to get my ducks in a row to when I meet with them. The service manual will help with comparing the issues I have/had with what they touched and removed for this repair .
Jim
The first issue, with-in 40 miles of picking up car CEL comes on. P0136. They first blamed the exhaust leak at sensor mount and hanger (the weak link on these exhaust systems). Once that was fixed, they then blamed the sensor. The same sensor they RandR'd. Turns out that the sensor was bad, how it goes bad by nature causes with-in 40 miles is beyond me. But that is what they told me.
The second issue was the exhaust flange, seized nut on stud. Left loose cause second exhaust leak.
The third issue, tranny fluid leaking. Turned out to be residue fluid they left in frame of car. They stated they had there Master Tranny Tech give the job the once over, gave it his blessing and no other issues seen.
The forth issue, days after picking up the car from the third issue found the CV joints allen caps loose, hand loose. Huge amount of CV joint grease all over the place.
The fifth issue, sounds and feels like the steering rack might be loose. A knock when you first turn the wheel, only once at the start of the day. Once warm, i don't hear it. Haven't got into this one yet.

How did it work out for you? Did you bring it back to the dealer? I found this online:
