powersteering makes a lot of noise
2000 RX300 I had some body install a new power steering pump put in and now it makes a high pitched sound anybody have this problem?

Did the mechanic purge the air?
Turn the wheels all the way right and hold for couple of seconds and then turn all the way left and hold for couple of seconds.
Repat 2 times and keep adding more fluid along the way.
It is best done with the wheels off the ground.
If after that you still hear the squeal, check the condition of the belt. If you see bubbles in the reservoir (or foam), then you need to replace the pump.
