Default 2001 rx300

Wife drove car 150,000 on top of the 97,000it had when we bought it. Sat for 6 months and I decided to fix. New knock sensors, harness, coils, water pump, vvt system, ect. Now it starts and idles well but has no power. It shifts well and doesn't miss, but no power. The O2 sensors read bad and the vct and the trac stay on. Don't know what to try next.

I have always been told that O2 sensors would only affect your gas mileage by a couple miles and not that much on driving. I have lost over 50% of my power

Can you give us all the codes that you are reading.

Also what about under no load ... does the engine rpm go up to 4.5K

And how about free roll in "N".

Definitely share the codes you presently have.

To fix all of that you must have had a bunch of codes 6 months ago. did you record what they were? Did you clear them after the repairs?

Did you ever check the engine compression?

Ha, no. Limp mode is limp mode, does not matter what put you in it. That's why it's limp mode, not "bad knock sensor mode" or "O2 sensor mode". What codes do you have now.

Nothing. Checked compression on frontbank 2-130, @4-145, and 6-135. Could the wrong coil packs cause loss of power.

Those compression values are quite low. Rated pressure is 218psi. Minimum pressure is 145psi with a delta of 15 psi between them. When I measured mine they varied from 194 to 205.

P0141 should only be the rear O2 sensor. Which as far as I know, will not kick it into limp mode. Almost has to be another code coming or the computer did not get reset.

Did you recently change the timing belt? Sounds like you are off 1 tooth.

I
did just change the timing belt. After doing that I turn the car over several times and everything still look like it lined up perfectly. If that was the case would it not show up on the diagnostic check. Thank you

Probably not. The computer only registers the various electronic sensors and produces a fault if any particular sensor shows a value outside a pre-prescribed value.
Hook up a timing light or remove the spark plugs and manually set the main crank at TDC then check the alignment on each cam pulley.

Thank everyone for all your help. Still not able to get car running at full power. If you try to floor it there is a rattling noise that seems to come from the throttle body area. About ready to give up and sell it for parts. Again thanks for your input
