Default Replaced Driver Lock Actuator...Odd Behavior Now

Hi,
I replaced my '01 RX driver's side front door lock actuator with some china part from Amazon ($17) and everything works fine, remotes work and door lock buttons works but when I get in, shut the door and turn the key all 4 locks cycle once except none of the locks move, just the sound of cycling. It never did this before so I'm not sure if it's just the china part being weird or what. Since everything is functioning I'll just live with it but I just found it a little annoying.

I know everything is plugged in, double checked that. I disconnected the battery to reset everything. I reprogrammed the remotes just to be sure it wasn't that. Any ideas?

Thanks!

We highly recommend that you do not put back the door panel for few days and confirm everything is working right. If you have done that, it should be easy to disconnect the connector to the lock you just changed and see if the other locks work fine.

The panel has been off. Everything works fine aside from the locks acting like they cycle one time when the ignition is turned on.

That I surmised from your post... but after disconnecting (temporarily) do the other locks cycle once?

Ok....so my son's 99 Lexus gs300 had trouble starting. Replaced battery, fuel pump, change plugs, repaired frayed wires on the wire harness, new crank sensor, new cam sensor, new key from Lexus and ignition immobilizer. Car still acting the same, sometimes it starts sometimes it don't. Now I'm starting to think it has something to do with the locks or alarm.
I was going to replace the igniter but that is a $500-$700 part through Lexus.
Locks do not work even after I got new key programmed. Any advice.....anyone please. This project is getting expensive. Please let me know what you think.

Have you had the starter tested? Does it crank the engine every time you have this problem?

You might want to start a separate thread (and do it in the GS forum).

I haven't had it tested personally but my exwife had this guy look at fuel pump, starter, alternator.
Personally I have replaced plugs, valve cover seal, cam sensor, crank sensor, new key transponder, immobilizer (goes behind ignition). The car still starts then it has a mind of it's own then dont start. It cranks but don't start.
Maybe the igniter? Not sure but these are the last 2 parts I need to replace and the most expensive. Igniter-$700+
ECU-$1,700+
OBDII-reads P2796 & P0446
Any advice.... somebody please??

All doors except drivers worked w/ remote. I know this is common problem. I replaced driver side door lock actuator. Now, driver's door still doesnt work w /remote, and whenever I start the car, all locks cycle..Now I have to lock driver door w/key and other doors w/remote.... Now when all doors are locked, if I only unlock and open drivers door (with the key) without unlocking other doors (with remote), and open drivers door, the alarm goes off. So now, everything is more screwed up than before..YAY !
