Have a 99 Lexus RX300, so old..lol. Weird things are amiss with its electrical system and I was hoping for help. See the below video links for the in depth detail. Long story short, is that I truly think I have an issue with my alternator, as the charge only drops when the engine gets warmer.<br /><br />What is perplexing is that my local mechanic feels it is the ECM module, it may be ECS. Seems like it almost has to be the alternator. I think the voltage regulator is built into it too.

Much appreciated. Thanks for the feedback. Ordered new alternator, will install Tuesday. Hope this solves it.

Once you take the old one out, just take it to auot parts store and they can check it for you in their test jig. They may have a problem in getting the environment hot [your condition of failure] though.
