Default 2002 RX 300 p 1730 HELP !!!!!!

i recently purchased a 2002 Rx 300 AWD and there are 4 lights on the dash CEL ,VSC, TRAC OFF AND ABS . i have run the code and its P1730 counter gear sensor for transmission . i replaced the sensor and the connector was extremely corroded but i was able to get it out and re wired . the code didnt go away and the lights are all still on ? i have heard the stuff about the vacuum hose behind the air box etc . thats all ok and trans shifts fine except no OD . Any help would be greatly appreciated . thanks tom

Arent there two sensors, But the corrosion, did you use corrosion cleaner on it and make sure the pins both male and female are in good shape? Check the other sensor and see if it is corroaded also.

Default Sensor

Thanks for replying. I actually replaced the connector also and soldered the wires so I know it's working. The other one turbine sensor was not corroded and I think it's working properly . I still have the p1730 code and the OD still doesn't work . The car shifts good except no OD . The thing that baffles me is why all the lights on for one code. Vic ,abs, trac off and cel ? I really don't think the problem is inside the trans it shifts too good in all but OD. Thanks again. Any more help greatly appreciated. Tom

Keep in mind that you are spending extra on gas till this problem is fixed. I call it the slow siphon .. you don't feel the pinch but your wallet is still being emptied. Paying some one to diagnose and fix may not be that bad.
