Default Fuel Injector ticking noise

So I have a 2002 RX300 and it has the loud fuel injector ticking noise. I did my search and there was an existing TSB out that replaces the fuel pipe along with adding a secondary fuel pulsation damper as well to help reduce the noise, but my question is.... can I just add the secondary fuel pulsation damper without having to replace the original fuel pipe?

I would love to hear the advice/replies from anyone who has experience with this.

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure its the fuel injectors? The valves can get noisy when the oil gels and thickens and flow is reduced.

How long ago did you notice the sound?
TSB are for problems that show up (or dont go away) when vehicles are sold.
If the sound has appeared recently, then I would trace to the source of the sound.

The sound is definitely coming from the injector/rails from what I can hear using a stethoscope, so my search started and that's how I stumbled on the TSB. It seemed to be a very common issue for the RX300 and RX330's, and guys that had this TSB performed by Lexus said that it did resolve the ticking noise; however, I'm just wondering if anyone who tried fixing this on their own replaced just the fuel pulsation damper and skipped the fuel main tube.

I just recently bought the car so I don't have any prior history with it. I guess, after all, I can just install the secondary fuel pulsation damper and find out for myself, but thought I'd ask on here first to see if there was anyone else who has experience with this.

Alldata info below:

TSB EG004-05

Title:
Fuel Injector "Ticking" Noise

Models:
01' - 03' RX 300

Introduction

Some customers with 2001 - 2003 model year RX 300 vehicles may complain of a "Ticking" noise from the engine compartment when the engine is idling. An updated fuel main tube has been made available, and a second fuel pressure pulsation damper has been added to improve this condition.

When I brought our used 99 with 150,000 miles home, you could certainly here the fuel injectors ticking with the hood open. I added MMO Marvel Mystery Oil to the gas and the injectors were notably quieter after just one tank full of gas. Its been around for decades and still works. It cleans and lubricates the injectors. You can buy a quart for about $5. Google it.
