RX300 2000 how many pins cd changer plug
Hi I am trying to install a usb adopter between back of head unit (lexus not Nakamichi) and CD changer.
There are two y cable spliter option.
one with 2.5+7 Pin to 6+6 Pin and 5+7 Pin
second one with 2.5+7 Pin to 6+6 Pin and 6+6 Pin

One plug is for serial communication link and the other is for analog (audio signals). The CD audio level is non-standard and they run as L+/L- and R+ and R- differential signals. Regular Audio is L/R with respect to ground.
The serial link is digital Lexus proprietary standard. Through this plug the central unit switches things in and out and polls what is enabled and does some weird logic as to radio is switched on when say the tape is ejected (example). I would suggest not to mess with this one. And let the system be faked that the CD exists by leaving the original CD player in.
