Air Conditioner Noise

When I start my car with the A/C on, it makes a high pitched, whiney noise for 30 seconds, give or take. Where is it coming from?

Loose accessory belt , may be? This belt goes around the main pulley, alternator and the AC Compressor. It should be looked at 36,000 miles intervals and should be replaced around 50,000 miles
