Hi, girlfriend just bought a 2001 rx300 and I was looking to install a new head unit in it to sync up with pout phone and stuff. But noticed the hvac controls are in the same place as the radio controls. Its it possible to install a new unit in it? Was looking at getting a single din with flip out screen or if possible a double din. Thanks in advance

 

A lot of work is involved, there have been some people who've done it successfully.

What are you looking for? Bluetooth? If so, look into the GROM unit. Much cheaper option.

 

Was looking at getting a pioneer one like I got in my truck and getting the back up camera for her. Was looking at the 6600dvd one on their site. Was reading that the vac controls have to be moved and came up with an idea and was going to talk to the guy who does my electrical work on my truck to get a custom piece made for the center console to put the controls in
