Default Strange transmission problem occurs, please see if you can help

Here is my symptoms on my transmission at the moment:

My transmission has a delayed gear change recently, about two weeks ago. After I have drove the car for around 15 minutes from cold star, my transmission acts strangely. When it shifts from gear 1 to gear 2, the dash board shows "2", but actually the transmission is still in gear 1, after one second, it shifts to gear 2 roughly. And then, when it shifts from gear 2 to gear 3, same thing happens again. However, no problem for gear 3 to gear 4. When I come to a full stop, and shift from D to R, you can obviously feel that the transmission actually shifts to reverse one second later.

This symptoms ONLY happens when the car is warmed (or hot). When it does not have any symptoms when the car is cold.

When I first discovered this problem, I have my transmission fluid changed (drain and fill), around one can Toyota transmission fluid.

Do you think what cause the problem? Do I need to flush my transmission oil?

Thanks.

Tonight, I have poured in one bottle of RESURS auto transmission restoration fluid. I used it when my car was having the gear change delay. After I used it, the problem disappeared immediately for the next 20 km. Then I stopped by to have a dinner. And then, I started my car again and run without problem for next 10 km. After I was near home, I tried to stop my car and see if the problem still exists. And ... yes, it is still exists, but then disappeared again for the next few stops.

I assume the restoration fluid is now healing my gear box. The manual said it needs 100 km to run in. I will let you know what will be the result later.

Thanks.
Did you read the transmission sticky? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...er-change.html
And how did you determine you need to add ONE can after drain to fill?

Do not do a flush.

I did not do the flush.

The problem occurs again today. Does anyone get any clues?

What year RX and how many miles? And where on the dash do you see the gear numbers? I have nothing like that on my 03 unless I shift the gears manually.

If you added 1 qt (can?) after a drain at 2 points, you may be low on fluid level.

Kalali, my RX is 1999 and had 130,000 kms on it. Mine is showing gear number even on automatic.
