Default 99 AWD..Forward gears slipping...reverse ok

Ok I let the car sit for about three months ..driving other car..started driving the car after changing the mass air sensor..and dicovering that the knock sensor needs to be changed ..only drove the car two days..less than 50 miles...tranny felt like it slipped once within a couple blocks of my house..later went to drive it and now I have no forward drive, feels like it is trying to go but will not,,,so I drain the fluid change the filter..fill her back up and still no forward drive..again she feels like she is trying to go..almost like the park brake is on...also did notice that when I put the shifter in drive gears ...I can push the shifter up without pushing the side **** in..when in other spots it will lock...117000 miles on tranny..hoping it will be something simple ..first issue ever great shifting and driving untill this.
